Miriam Schacter is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as well as the Dance Movement Therapy Association in Canada (DMTC). She runs a full-time practice based on psychodynamic, sensorimotor, IFS and DBT informed approaches. Miriam brings to her practice a background in community programming and performing arts, part of which she still maintains as the founder of danceABILITIES. Clients of danceABILITIES™ include Dancing with Parkinson's, Arthritis Society, U of T Rehabilitation Sciences Institute, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, UHN, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Intergenerational Dance Project, Toronto Western COPD Dept., Baycrest, Sheridan Centre for Elder Research, etc.
